These are crossover paintings. I made the originals pre 2009 as 'mini-masterpieces', which were small paintings and big frames. Then a few years later (after they had sat gathering dust in my studio for a while) they started to seem a bit woody.. so I painted on the frames as well.
The frame seemed fitting, I might try some alternate versions.
